Toddlers and Dads! Welcome to ...

Conkers is a group for Dads and their kids (aged 5 and under). It exists to provide a dynamic, safe and welcoming place for Dads to meet other Dads, make friends, and foster community whilst making the most of the opportunity to spend quality time playing with their children.

Part of the Who Let the Dads Out? Network, Conkers is committed to valuing and encouraging strong relationships between Dads and their children whilst recognising the unique role and responsibility that Dads have in their holistic development including spiritually.  Strong father figures lead to strong communities and the optimal environment for social and spiritual transformation.

‘Turning the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers’ (Malachi 4:6)

A typical Conkers morning includes a:

Play Zone - A huge area with access to a wide variety of small and large world toys including a bouncy castle, sit-on bouncy animals, tent and tunnels, Brio, Mega Meccano and workbench, Lego, cars & garage, farmyard and animals etc.

Craft Zone – An area for hands on activities making stuff (different every time)

Reading Zone - A chill out area with cushions and a shed load of kids’ books

Baby Zone - A comfortable area with baby toys, Bumbo's, bouncers etc.

Breakfast Zone – A sizeable seating area in which an exceptional 5 item Derbyshire cooked breakfast for Dad is served alongside cereal snacks and fruit pieces for the kids, fruit juices, squash, tea and real filter coffee!  High chairs and booster seats are available.

We ask for a suggested donation of £3 per Dad (kids are free) to cover materials.

Conkers runs once a half-term on advertised Saturday mornings between 08:30am and 10:30am.
